    When I was in college, just putting the book out in front of me (and out of my book bag) was a good transition from procrastination to action. Now I would call it “behavior momentum” but it would ease me into seeing the work…and then, “Well, might as well open the book to that page…” Now that I am a teacher, I do the same thing…especially when grades are due. Just the act of putting my materials out was a start that I needed.
